Step by step

  1. 1

    Install a player

    Search the App Store for one of the supported players and install it. The same app is available on Apple TV in the tvOS App Store.

    Add a playlist

    Open the app and choose to add a new playlist using the Xtream Codes API option.

  3. 3

    Enter your credentials

    Enter the server URL, username and password shown in your dashboard. On iPhone or iPad you can scan the dashboard QR code instead.

  4. 4

    Wait for the first sync

    The app downloads the channel list, VOD catalogue and guide. This is the slowest step and only happens once.

  5. 5

    AirPlay if you prefer

    You can stream from an iPhone or iPad to an Apple TV with AirPlay, though a native Apple TV install gives better quality.

Worth knowing

On Apple TV, typing is easier if you use the Apple TV Remote keyboard on your iPhone.
